Heritage Street Lighting
The Photo shows a scheme with 19 x Single Merrions 110w LED on 8m Tubular Columns (as shown below) and 1 x Twin Merrion 110w on an 8m Column, all with Swan-neck brackets. For adjoining areas, smaller roads and pedestrian areas, 18 x Heritage Lanterns 40w LED were supplied together with 5m Tubular poles supplied with decorative embellishment kits. (Two of these can be seen be in the background of the photo below).
All Luminaires were supplied with DALI dimmable gear and a Selc powerline controller to link with the Council system. VeeLite supply CLO (Constant Light Output) and Programmable Dimming/Part-Night Dimming at no extra cost as standard.
Photo shows both Heritage Streetlighting Lanterns and heritage lighting columns. Wall mounted versions are also shown.
With 8m decorative street light Poles, Avon 75 brackets, and decorative Pendant heritage Luminaires with a copper and black finish, the scheme has received much favourable comment. External Copper Lights have the advantage that they do not corrode or rust. They will turn green/grey after a period.
The Heritage lighting columns are similar to standard Tubular lighting columns, except usually with larger (wider) diameter, to provide more substantial appearance and usually in a Black RAL finish. Several decorative aluminium die-castings are added to the Poles for architectural effect.
