Street Lighting – Titanic Quarter

2011:  Decorative Street lights were installed along several Streets in the Titanic Quarter of Belfast, including Great Queen Street shown below. These sleek and die-cast aluminium street lights combine attractive minimal appearance with good functionality including efficiency, good photometric performance and optional technical features such as electronic gear or electronic internal mini-photocells. Since then, these Luminaires have been re-introduced in LED version and with various dimming control options – click for details.

The 57 Street lighting Poles are 10m high, of tapered conical construction and finished in RAL 9006 grey and with both single and twin brackets mounted on top.   In some locations (including the area shown in the photo), there is also an Origin street lighting Luminaire at 5m on the back of the Pole for Footpath illumination. There is a total of 95 Origin Street Lights supplied in this phase.

The decorative street lights scheme includes the nearby Titanic Experience Building. This Building was the most expensive tourist Project ever within Northern Ireland and is the worlds’s largest Titanic Visitors attraction. The Titanic Building and the entire area (185 acres) is being Developed by Harcourt Developmentssee video – and has received favourable feedback as an urban regeneration project in enhancing the appearance of the City.  Many of these Streets adjoin the Harland & Wolff Shipyard areas and the distinctive Yellow Cranes are in the background.

The newer LED Version of this Luminaire is slimmer, die-cast aluminium housing, designed to minimise heat from LED and provide a longer, more reliable service lifetime.

We can supply several types of lighting columns – conical, tubular, constant diameter, etc and manufacture specials on request – either Luminaires, brackets or Columns. For finish, most RALs are available on request. In some cases, we can supply in Stainless Steel.
