Residential Street Lighting

VeeLite offer a range of Styles for its Residential Street Lights and a lighting design service to optimise the layout and where appropriate, to meet Local Authority lighting standards. In most projects, a modern Streetlight will be used. However, Residential Street Lights can vary from modern Streetlights, to Decorative Streetlights, to Heritage Lanterns which compliment older Buildings and traditional Housing. The lighting columns can be supplied to match the Luminaires, together with a RAL finish as required. Alternatively, Lighting can be Wall mounted with suitable Brackets.

Photocells can be integrated into most Luminaires if required. The alternative is a remote photocell which can control many Luminaires.

The Local Authorities may have their own policy on this. VeeLite use Council approved Lighting Design software for submission of Road Lighting Proposals. Energy saving control and dimming options including DALI are also offered.

With the reliability of LED optics, life of up to 100,000 hours and various optics and wattages offered, Lights are suitable for residential and Access Roads, central or perimeter locations, Plazas, Parks, Entrance areas, etc. With high energy efficiency, VeeLite Streetlights are widely used on Passive Buildings, Energy certified or Award winning Buildings etc. See illustration in News section.

A popular option is CLO (Constant Light Output*). Most Lighting provides more Light in the early years than in the later years as output gradually decreases over time. With a CLO option, the output in earlier years is reduced to provide an even output over the lifetime of the Light.

Another common option is a Dimming Profile. For example, the Light can be pre-programmed (in VeeLite) so the light output reduces to (say) 75% output after (say) midnight. It remains at this lower output until Sunrise, when it switches off (due to photocell). Alternatively, it may be a 50% reduction and the hours may vary, and so on.
