Inground Recessed Lighting

VeeLite Inground LED pathway lights are supplied with a separate installation cassette and are available in different sizes, depths, wattages, Beam optics, colour options 3K/4K, RGB, etc.

Inground Lights can also act as Beacon lights. They can be seen in the distance and indicate the edge of the pathway. Where local surfaces are bright (concrete or gravel), there will be greater illumination and the Path, Walls or other Pedestrians will be more visable.

Fifty inground Pathway lights, 5w LED asymmetric version, were installed along the edge of the 1Km coastal Walk.  By using recessed groundlights to provide the illumination, the attractive scenic walkway was not cluttered by Poles or Bollards and glare and light spill is minimised.

These LED inground pathway lights are located just off the walkway so there is minimal trip or slip hazard.  With a die cast construction and only a small vertical lens, it is difficult to vandalise or break accidentally, which is often a problem with Groundlights.  Due to the smooth curved housing, the inground pathway lights do not attract or accumulate dirt, leaves or debris so the light output is not restricted.

This Riverwalk has used Trace Series Linear Groundlights with blue output.

These Groundlights can be added together to make a continuous line of lighting.  In this Project, the strips of Light shown below are 2M long.  This is from the combination of 2 Groundlights, each being 1M long.   Different colour light outputs are offered, typically 3K or 4K white light.  RGB is offered as an option and in this case, blue light was used.  The primary purpose is for architectural effect or to highlight a perimeter, path or other feature.

LED Groundlights have the advantage of being discreet and when located next to the Building can minimise problems such as glare and being obstructive.  VeeLite offer a range of LED Groundlights in many sizes, many wattages, 3K or 4K optics, stainless steel finishes etc.

A total of 26 Groundlights were supplied, in twin arrangement, to provide 13 x 2M lengths.  Each Groundlight is 14w and a total of 5 remote Drivers were supplied to power the scheme.

2015: All around this Church, at the Base of the Walls are small LED Groundlights.  The small size means they are almost unnoticeable during day time. When dusk arrives, they initially act as pathmarkers and as the night gets darker, they become more prominent and illuminate the attractive facades of this attractive Church Building.  Because of the circumstances and using small wattage LED luminaires, the electrical cost of floodlighting the Church costs less than 2 cent per hour.

There is also some LED Streetlighting installed on Poles.  These are only turned on at certain peak times, when there is pedestrian and car traffic, usually when there is a Church service.

In addition to the illumination of the Church Facades, the car park and pathways around the Building, there is also small Spot Floodlights provided to illuminate the Signs.
