Wand Lighting

These type of Lights are variously called Wand Lights, Bollard Lights, Pole Lights, etc.  What they have in common is a conical Pole appearance with the top section illuminating the glass or plastic (acrylic or polycarbonate) housing.  Initially, these versions were for effect only and had almost no functional lighting output.

The newer versions (see Penneys photo – end of page below) have high efficiency LED optics in the top of the Light, which results in an efficient lighting solution. To achieve this has meant the use of a clear Tube/Lens so the night-time visual effect has been reduced.

The version in Maidenhead is more like a high Bollard, it has solid robust construction with 2 LED lighting units in the top section.
