Bespoke Lighting – Large Reflectors

The main architectural feature lighting at this B&Q Retail Centre is the large illuminated Reflectors on the 6 Building Pillars.  Architects wanted to make an impact with the lighting and this bespoke lighting feature was produced and supplied to suit the existing Pillars, to provide the dramatic effect shown.

It consists of an integrated reflector designed to compliment the pole with separate lighting unit to provide indirect lighting effect. The reflector is made of aluminium and comes in a white finish. Typical installation is on a 4m – 12m constant diameter pole.

Bespoke Lighting – Stainless Steel

Architects A&D Wejchert  needed Stainless Steel bespoke lighting to compliment the Award winning Building at the Helix Performing Arts centre in Dublin. The 12,000 sqm building includes a concert hall, theatre, and exhibition area.

Working with local lighting manufacturer ‘VeeLite’, some 5 Stainless Steel ‘Specials’ were manufactured to order.  Both the conical columns and the conical Luminaires were produced in Stainless Steel.  The luminaire is IP65 rated and with an efficient reflector system.  Removable brackets and banners were supplied for maximum user flexibility. Light output of 30w to 60w LED would typically be offered.

This unique architectural conical stainless steel light is suitable for a wide range of commercial or social environments including theatres, corporate buildings, hotels, offices, churches, etc. Streetlight/asymmetric or symmetric optics are available and there is an occupancy sensor option, so that the lighting can be switched off (or to low output) when there is no pedestrian traffic nearby.  This would help to reduce energy and running costs.  Other options include RAL colours (blasted finish on stainless steel as standard) and photocell.
